not home alone for 3days.. (uh..gotta cook my own meal...no money to eat out)
well, the usual on the journey to our destination which is somewhere near Ipoh where my bros sleep like a pig, while i force to stay awake and be the navigator in case my mum got lost, and my older sis chewing on any tidbits we had brought along( and also the navigator). i took us around 2hrs to reach there( uh...finally! i just want to fall asleep).
Anyway, we stayed at the water chalets which is above a pond and the interior is not bad( minus the mosquitoes/flies at night and the ugly water ticks view on the water, makes me ITCHY!!). Well, there is a wooden balcony for u too just laze around( if you don't mind the heat and the mosquitoes) or to fish! (HAHA, don't even try to plan a fishing trip here as u would never
get a catch, my chalet neighbor had set up his fishing gear and there is no catch even till the next morning). well, u get to do quite a lot of sports stuff here like cycling, badminton, squash, swimming..yadah..yadah...and the condition of the sports equipment is acceptable.
well, food?? er....i would say the food is just so-so only and the price is quite pricey at there. That's is why we eat out which is far more cheaper. Sigh...however, i didn't get to eat the fame Ipoh chicken rice with beansprouts as they say it only opens at night.
HAH! now the pomelo story! Is the most amusing thing that happen in my ipoh holiday. Pomelo? well, is a fruit which looks like an orange only that it has green skin and its inner fruit is also like oranges where it contains pulps and u can peel it but its colour are like pearls and the siz
the rows of pomelo shops!
Even so, my mum still make the turn in to the "road of pomelos". Immediately, once a empty looking corridors now bust out with pretty girls standing right in front of the shops trying to make their best pose. Those shop owners who are sitting down on their stools, jump out immediately and stand at their door. HAHA!!! what a way to attract customers. i was laughing my heart out at the moment every shop owner synchronisely appear out of no where especially the idea of using girl's "Assets" to attract us...but to bad we are girls also and my sis and I was hoping for a handsome man standing in front instead.
In the end we chose the shop with the old lady shop owner instead. well, our family always gives chances to the elderly first anyway. My mum bought 2 pomeloes which my mum gave me the job to carry it( real heavy!). In the car, my mum suggested: " Why not we reverse our car back and forth and see whether those shop owners would do the same technique again?" We all burst out laughing!!
